Where can it go?
Garden
Stand it on the lawn or a gravel bed on the included flat mount – nothing drilled, nothing fixed.
Patio
On paving at ground level, ideally facing roughly south, east or west with little shade.
Flat roof or garage
A flat garage or extension roof works well – follow the mounting instructions in the manual to secure it against wind.
Not allowed: on timber balconies or on combustible cladding.
What you need
- A suitable fixed wall socket within reach – indoors or outdoors (the standard kit reaches about 5 m – up to 14 m with a longer solar DC cable)
- No extension lead or adaptor – the plug goes straight into the wall socket
- A sunny spot facing roughly south, east or west, with little shade
- Need a new outdoor socket, or is your wiring old with no RCD protection? Have an electrician check first.
